Confessions of a Terrible Husband

Lessons learned from a lumpy couch

“To my wife. I haven’t always put you first, so I thought it was appropriate to change that. 🙂 “

Confessions of a Terrible Husband is one of those books you just can’t put down. The quote above is the dedication, and as soon as I read this dedication, I knew I would connect with this book because I’ve done the exact same thing in the past.

Nick Pavlidis is a great story-teller that keeps your attention with his descriptive commentary of past events in his life and marriage.

Love and Respect

The Love She Most Desires; The Respect He Desperately Needs

If there is one thing I don’t understand, like most guys, it’s women. We guys can usually admit that, and there probably have been millions of dollars spent by us just to gain a little more knowledge into God’s most confusing creation.

What I didn’t know, is although women believe they have guys figured out, the truth is they really don’t understand how we click or how to pull the love, they most desire, out of us.

This book, Love and Respect, definitely hits the spot for both genders with its incredible theories based on rock solid theology. I can’t tell you how much of an impact this book will have on your marriage.

Love & Respect: The Love She Most Desires; The Respect He Desperately Needs

A Marriage Book with a Difference!

A Revolutionary Message
“I’ve been married 35 years and have not heard this taught.”
  • “This is the key that I have been missing.”
  • “You connected all the dots for me.”
  • “As a counselor, I have never been so excited about any material.”
  • “You’re on to something huge here.”
A Simple Message
A wife has one driving need―to feel loved. When that need is met, she is happy. A husband has one driving need―to feel respected. When that need is met, he is happy. When either of these needs isn’t met, things get crazy. Love and Respect reveals why spouses react negatively to each other, and how they can deal with such conflict quickly, easily, and biblically.
A Message That Works
Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and his wife, Sarah, have already taken the Love and Respect message across America and are changing the way couples talk to, think about, and treat each other. What do you want for your marriage? Want some peace? Want to feel close? Want to feel valued? Want to experience marriage the way God intended? Then why not try some Love and Respect.

We make choices every day. We choose to eat because we’re hungry. Many people choose to go to work every day because they want a paycheck.

What choices have you made today? Did you have a reason? What was your why?

5 Reasons Why I Encourage You to Unplug

We live in an ever encompassing age of technology and information. We are tied to the outside world and have a wealth of knowledge at our fingertips on any given second of the day. We are obsessed with social media and connecting to other people online, but whatever happened to connecting to people over coffee, lunch, playing sports, or having that personal connection face to face with each other?

Wall-E humansBeing tied to the outside world is a good thing, especially with the increasing number of entrepreneurs who need to be able to connect with their clients, but as a person, with a family and friends, we have to be able to put down our technology and just unplug it all or we will all end up acting like the people on the spaceship from Wall-E and no body wants that.

Here are 5 reasons why I encourage everyone to unplug for at least a few days or a week if possible.

#FitMoneyChallenge – Fitness Goal

The #FitMoneyChallenge

Recently, a new friend of mine, Casey Lewis of Casey-Lewis.com, started a challenge. He called it the #FitMoneyChallenge. He allowed for people to sign up through his site for a 90 day challenge to get a healthier body and healthier wallet. I love this concept, and it’s something I 100% believe in.

Part of being a good steward is being a good steward in ALL areas of our lives including: finances, health, spiritual, career, etc.
